Benchmarks for law enforcement requests

Most legal response teams measure themselves against their own request log, because it's the only data they have. The Kodex Standard Report is an annual benchmark of law enforcement data requests across the whole Kodex network.

Questions the report answers

Each section takes a question legal response teams ask about their own work and answers it with aggregate data from across the network.

01 · Volume

Is request volume rising across the network?

The report measures daily request volume across the whole network against the year before. It also follows companies that have been on Kodex for at least two years, which shows how volume is changing for established teams. Emergency disclosure requests get a breakdown of their own.

02 · Speed

How quickly are teams resolving requests?

You'll find median resolution times across all legal process, along with how they moved over the year as volume changed. Emergency requests are measured on their own, since those are the ones where minutes count.

03 · Trust

What threats does verification catch?

The report counts how often Kodex denied an attempt to sign up for law enforcement access over the past year, based on signals found during verification. It also breaks down the rejections tied to major security concerns, such as suspected threat actors and compromised accounts.

About the data

Built from the network itself

Every figure is anonymized and aggregated from activity on the Kodex network, and no customer data is exposed. The findings were first presented at the Kodex Global Keynote on October 27, 2026.
